Fat dissolving injections target and melt away stubborn pockets of fat in the body where exercise and a good diet fail. They're less invasive than liposuction and don't require anaesthesia.
The active ingredient induces lipolysis, where the fat cells rupture and die. The deoxycholic acid breaks down the fat cell wall, releasing the fatty acid stored within it. The body's lymphatic system removes the fatty liquid through the venous system, which is processed like fatty foods are digested.
Results are not instant, and several sessions (2-8 depending on the amount of fatty tissue) may be required for stubborn areas. A good healthy diet and exercise is recommended.
Possible swelling, bruising, and tenderness post-treatment for a few days afterwards are common side effects.

TREATMENT
Before your procedure, we will show you to a tranquil treatment room. After a pre-treatment consultation, the area of concern will be marked out. The fat-dissolving solution is injected using tiny needles into the fat pocket. The needles allow small areas to be tackled effectively, such as double chin or jowls.

RESULTS
Fat injections are a non-surgical solution, but there are no general anesthetic risks. Stitches are not required, and scarring is unlikely as there are no incisions.
Patients typically experience minimal side effects compared to more invasive procedures, such as liposuction. Some temporary side effects include bruising, swelling, redness and irritation in the injection area. Sometimes, it may feel slightly tender to the touch, numb or itchy, but these side effects usually subside after 1-3 days and may last up to 4 weeks.

Side effects may include skin irritation, redness, swelling, minor bruising and tenderness in the treated areas. These are expected to disappear around three to six days after your treatment.

The remaining fat cells can grow with weight gain, so we always stress the importance of following a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain a stable weight following treatment.
The number of treatments required varies depending on the size of the fatty deposit being treated. Generally, 1-3 treatments are needed for small areas such as the chin and 2-6 sessions for larger areas such as the thighs. Repeat sessions should be spaced out at four weeks intervals and results should appear approximately three to six weeks after the initial treatment.
You may not be suitable if you are pregnant or lactating, or suffer from lipodystrophy or various pathological conditions, such as auto-immune diseases.
